Jai Gurudev, My name is Ved Prakash Gupta. I was born on the 7th of November, 1951, at Delhi. I did my Bachelor of Technology-Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in1973 and MBA, HR from IGNOU in the year 2000. I then joined the Department of Telecommunication,(DOT) Government Of India as a Class-I Officer in the year 1974 and retired in April, 2011, as Principal General Manager(Elect), (equivalent to Add Secretary to Government of India), Head of Electrical wing of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL), Corporate Office, New Delhi. The begining of my journey at the Art of Living: In the November of 1999, I got a VVIP pass for attending a Satsang with Sri Sri at Chatarpur, New Delhi.
This was way back in September 2011, when a silly conversation between two friends introduced me to a world of unknown. The conversation went something like this: Namita: “Prads, why don't you do the Art of Living (AOL) Part 1 course. You do this course now, and since I am in Bangalore, you come here in December and we will do the Advanced course at the Ashram. It will be amazing!” Pradnya (Me): “Ok Nami :)”
This is my second story, and as I have written in my previous story, the next and most miraculous story is about to come.
Jai Gurudev !!! My name is Sachin, and I have been a part of the AOL family since a while now.
This was in March, 2010, when myself along with our Part 1 teacher – Miss Smriti Thakur, her sister Kiran Pardeshi (also Part 1 Teacher) and Mr.
JGD This was way back in 2004, when I was in grade 11. Like most youth, I felt that Guruji and His miracles were just a sort of promotional strategy.
Jai Gurudev! I have experienced several miraculous and wonderful moments, but this is the first one that I could pen down.
Jai Gurudev! I feel really blessed to have been selected by my marvelous Guru to walk on the path. My story is one that will kindle the lamp of faith in the hearts of many.
It was in the year 2007 that a life changing event occurred with a boy named Sagnik, 4 years of age, who happened to take admission in my mother’s school “The Divine Grace”.
I had done my Part 1 (Basic) Course in January 2006. After that I did my DSN Course, Part 2 Course, Advance Meditation Course, Sahaj Samadhi Course with Guruji.
This incident happened on 13th December, 2007, when I was working with the ICICI Bank Ltd. as an Officer at the Rajkot Main Branch (Rajkot is a city in Rajasthan, India).
The biggest u-turn of my life started when I met Guruji. Initially, I was not aware of what He really is, so when I did my first Art Excel course eight years back, I never realised the importance of it.
26th july 2005 is the most unforgettable day for me. My husband and I were in office when it started pouring and by the time we packed up we could sense the fate of our own house which was on ground floor.
Being with Guruji has been like a blessing and dream come true. During Seva, many Nav Chetana Shibirs came my way, and I had the privilege to do 9 shibirs back to back in a span of three months.
I did my First Yes Course in May 2008 (after appearing for 10th board exams) I was an average student and after every exam my parents used to tell me same thing that if I would have studied then I would have scored much better marks.
