This happened in 2022, when I was searching for a bride for my son.
For me, Gurudev has always been everything. As I didnt not have elders at home with whom I could share my thoughts, seek guidance, or simply confide in. So, whenever I had something important to decide, my heart naturally turned to Him.
Whenever Gurudev would travel abroad, I would make it a point to attend any puja that was happening and, in my mind, pray to Him: “Please have a safe journey. Take care of yourself, and come back soon.”
It was during Chaitra Navaratri, at the time of the Chandi Homa. Gurudev was scheduled to leave for abroad for a long period immediately after the puja. That day a Sunday, finished taking the online Ramayana session and immediately went for the homa to have glimpse of Gurudev.
After the puja, Gurudev began walking through the puja area before leaving. Around 25–30 of us were standing on the steps, hoping to catch a glimpse of Him in the Yagnashala.
As I stood there, I was silently speaking to Gurudev in my heart.
Gurudev, what will I do when you are not here? If something comes up regarding the bride for my son, whom will I ask? I don’t want to take a step without your guidance or your say.”
My eyes filled with tears.
And then something happened that I can never forget.
The path Gurudev normally took to give darshan was blocked by a bench. To my utter surprise, Gurudev literally climbed over the bench, got down, walked all the way towards where we were standing, and looked up at us.
Then He turned around and walked back.
Almost immediately, the bench was removed so that He could continue on His way.
I was completely astonished.
It felt as though Gurudev had heard the words I had never spoken aloud. He came right up to where I was standing.
He has always said, “I am there for you.Dont worry.”
That day, I didn’t just hear those words—I felt them.
It was a moment of immense grace, reassurance, and deep gratitude. I felt, in the quietest and most profound way, that I was not alone. Gurudev was there, listening, guiding, and reminding me that His presence does not depend on physical distance.
That moment has stayed in my heart ever since. 🙏
I could have asked co teachers to take the class but for me, seva always came first. I never expected anything in return.
I had such a beautiful and unforgettable experience. It reminded me that when you serve with a pure heart and without expectations, you receive something far more precious in return.
