My first experience of Advanced Meditation Program nearly three decades ago was where I had recognised the connection with my Master and felt healed at different levels. The impact was so very deep that I truly became a ‘ Fountain of Joy’ despite the turbulence that existed in life.

In 2006 when Blessing Program was introduced by Gurudev, I had expressed a desire to teach Advanced Meditation Program in our majestic Vishalakshi Mantap while we sat in clusters for group discussion in the course. It felt like a far fetched dream at the moment. I was not a higher level program teacher yet. Nevertheless, the intense desire was expressed and surrendered.

A couple of years later I came to know that Gurudev had blessed me to teach this blessed program to others. I began teaching in Bangalore Ashram in different venues but not in Vishalakshi Mantap Main Hall.

It was Guru Purnima week of 2018. I got a call from the Ashram Teacher Coordinating Desk whether I was available to teach the Advanced Meditation Program during the week. ‘ ‘Oh, it is Guru Purnima Special Program right?: I exclaimed excitedly. ‘ Yes Leela ji ‘ she replied with the same level of excitement. Then I remembered that my daughter and grandchildren who were visiting us for summer were due to head back to USA that very week. How can I teach a residential program ? Is it not my dharma to place family first? Torn between the pull of both sides, I decided to be with the family. There are other teachers to handle the course but this time with the family is precious. I said I was not available.
I looked and felt miserable. My daughter, in her compassion said ‘ mummy, you look so miserable. Why don’t you go and teach.I can manage the house’. With mixed feelings, I called the ashram to say that I was available. ‘ Oh Leela ji , because you said you were not available I just invited an other teacher and she accepted’. With a heavy heart I let go.
A few minutes later again I get a call saying the teacher she had invited did not know to speak in Hindi and the participants wanted the course in all three languages; English, Hindi and Kannada. So, you please come and teach’.
The Vishalakshi Mantap main Hall was full to the brim. Sitting in the Vyas Peeth, I shed precious tears of gratitude.
