It was a late night in August 2011, and my friend and I were driving home from Katepur Village in Latur. Heavy rain had caused water-logging all along the route, making driving extremely challenging. As we navigated through the incessant downpour, visibility was minimal, and suddenly, we found ourselves on a slope, the car slipping off the road. Frantically applying the brakes, we watched in horror as the car spiraled and turned 90 degrees, heading towards a gushing water stream.
With the car sinking, we lowered the windows, preparing to jump out. Miraculously, the car hit a tree, bringing it to a halt. Clinging to the tree for dear life, we held on tightly, realizing it was our only hope. As the water rose above the bonnet, I focused on retaining my foothold, trembling with shock but conserving energy instinctively.
Attempting to call my family, despite the wet mobile, I miraculously got through to them. Then, in a near-death experience, the car was thrown up by water pressure, almost hitting us. Releasing our grip on the tree, we fell into the water, swept away by the flood. Silently praying to our Master, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, we suddenly felt a powerful force push us out of the water, bringing immense relief.
Eventually, the rain subsided, and we were safely evacuated by family and friends. Reflecting on the experience, I knew I had survived only because of the Grace of my Master. Battling through raging flood waters in the pitch dark seemed impossible, but that unseen Force saved us from drowning. It was a miraculous escape, thanks to the Master’s Grace.
This ordeal has given me the realization of an inner strength I never knew I possessed, all through my Master’s Grace. Empowered from within, I now face all challenges with immense courage, knowing there is an unseen hand guiding me through life’s adversities.
